As I try to process all of today's events unable to sleep, I simply pray. I thank God for the gift my children are, I ask God for forgiveness if I have ever failed as a parent which I know I have many times. I pray with force and authority that God comfort and bring peace, bring healing to these families and to our nation. I don't think there isn't one parent out there that has not felt grief today. We can debate and do the blame game all we want and say this is a gun control issue, no a security issue. Whatever your opinion is that will not change the fact that tomorrow is gone for these precious life's. As a nation we need to come together and pray for these families, pray for our children for there teacher's. It brings so much heartache and tears to my eyes to know that this is real. Discussing it over with my husband I brought up fact that we are so quick to blame God. How can God allow this to happen? I don't have an answer for that. But I know we can't demand things from God if we're not willing to invest in our life's. How can we demand from him if all we are doing as a nation is trying out best to get him out! These are not the principals we we're founded on. I thank God for his promises are still true today and still tomorrow and we can hold on to them and hold him up to him. There is this story about a Shunammite woman who took her promise back to God 2kings 4:8-36 amazing story of faith and hope. When all else fails God doesn't! During this season we celebrate the birth of Christ and with this tragedy makes it hard to find joy let's not forget our JOY and our HOPE is found in Christ Jesus. Emanuel God is with us! I believe as a nation we can put our differences a side and unite in prayer.
